This started when I began painting my own nails with UV soak-off gel after having them done in a salon every two-three weeks, at £25-30 a time.  It has expanded into beauty products and ‘other stuff’.

I have learnt a lot along the way and, with more and more UV gel supplies and kits available online and on the high street, I thought I’d share my experiences.

This blog is about my successes and failures – so you don’t make the same mistakes.

If you can do an ordinary manicure and polish at home, you can do UV soak-off nails – fingers and toes – and save a LOT of money.  I bought expensive branded products initially and still recovered my money in four treatments.  You can buy a kit, including lamp, online now for the price of three salon UV paint jobs.  And you can do free touch ups and repairs.
